The Abierto Mexicano Telcel 2010 was a tennis tournament that took place from February 20th to 27th, 2010 in Acapulco . It was part of the ATP World Tour 2010 and was played outdoors on a clay court. In the same week the Delray Beach International Tennis Championships were played in Delray Beach and the Barclays Dubai Tennis Championships in Dubai . The latter, like the Abierto Mexicano Telcel, belonged to the ATP World Tour 500 category , while the Delray Beach International Tennis Championships belonged to the lower endowed ATP World Tour 250 category .

As in the week before at the Copa Telmex, David Ferrer and his compatriot Juan Carlos Ferrero were in the individual final . This time Ferrer won 6: 3, 3: 6, 6: 1, which was his tenth individual title. In doubles František Čermák and Michal Mertiňák were the defending champions, but they did not take part in the tournament this year. In this year's final, last year's finalists Łukasz Kubot and Oliver Marach won against Fabio Fognini and Potito Starace with 6: 0, 6: 0.

The field of participants in the individual competition consisted of 32 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. The total prize pool was $ 955,000 and total financial liabilities were $ 1,081,500.

The qualification took place from February 18th to 19th, 2010. Four qualifying places were played, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament.
