The SA Tennis Open 2010 was a tennis tournament that took place from February 1st to 7th, 2010 in Johannesburg . It was part of the ATP World Tour 2010 and was played outdoors on hard courts. In the same week the Movistar Open was played in Santiago de Chile and the PBZ Zagreb Indoors in Zagreb , which, like the Movistar Open, belonged to the ATP World Tour 250 category .

Defending champion in the singles was Jo-Wilfried Tsonga , who no longer took part in the tournament. In the final, Feliciano López won against Stéphane Robert in straight sets 7: 5 and 6: 1, who won his second career title. In doubles, James Cerretani and Dick Norman were the defending champions. Only Cerretani appeared again (with Prakash Amritraj ) and was eliminated in the quarterfinals. In this year's final, Rohan Bopanna and Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi prevailed against Karol Beck and Harel Levy in three sets. They won their second title as a partner.

The field of participants in the individual competition consisted of 32 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. Total prize money was $ 442,500 and total financial liabilities were $ 500,000.

The qualification took place from January 30th to February 1st, 2010. Four qualifying places were played, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament.
