Personal

Gronert was born as a hermaphrodite , that is, with the characteristics of both sexes. The female gender is noted on her birth certificate. When she was on the upswing in her career in 2008, female competitors harbored doubts about their gender and there were severe insults and hostility. According to her own statements, this hit Sarah Gronert so hard that she thought about giving up her career in the meantime. Therefore, she felt compelled to submit a certificate from the Aachen University Clinic, in which the female gender was confirmed. In addition, any doubt about Sarah Gronert's gender is now being prosecuted.
