In the singles Mary Pierce won against Francesca Schiavone 6: 4 and 6: 3. In doubles, the pairing Lisa Raymond / Samantha Stosur won 6: 2 and 6: 4 against Cara Black / Rennae Stubbs .

The qualification for the Kremlin Cup 2005 took place from October 8th to 10th, 2005. Four qualifying places for the singles and one qualification place for the doubles were played, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament.
