In the singles, Kim Clijsters won against W. Duschewina 7: 5 and 6: 0. In doubles, the pairing Lisa Raymond / Rennae Stubbs won 6: 3 and 7: 5 against Jelena Lichowzewa / Wera Swonarjowa .
