The İstanbul Cup 2005 was a WTA tennis clay court tournament for women in Istanbul . It was part of the 2005 WTA Tour as a Tier III category tournament . The tournament took place from May 14-21, 2005.

In the singles Venus Williams won against Nicole Vaidišová 6: 3 and 6: 2. In doubles, the pairing Marta Marrero / Antonella Serra Zanetti won 6: 4 and 6: 0 against Daniela and Sandra Klemenschits .

The qualification for the İstanbul Cup 2005 took place from May 14th to 16th, 2005. Four qualifying places for the singles and one qualification place for the doubles were played, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament.
