Giulia Casoni (born April 19, 1978 in Ferrara ) is a former Italian tennis player .

Career

Casoni, who began tennis at the age of eight, preferred to play on clay or hard courts. In 1996, she secured the double title of juniors at the French Open alongside Alice Canepa .

In her career, Casoni won three WTA titles in doubles. She also won four singles and 27 doubles titles in ITF tournaments. For the Italian Fed Cup team , she played eleven games, of which she won eight.

She played her last match as a professional player in September 2006 at an ITF tournament in Mestre, Austria.
