In the singles, Kim Clijsters won against Justine Henin-Hardenne 7: 5 and 6: 1. In doubles, the pairing Anna-Lena Grönefeld / Martina Navrátilová won 5: 7, 6: 3 and 6: 4 against Conchita Martínez / Virginia Ruano Pascual .
