The 2005 Advanta Championships was a WTA indoor hard court tennis tournament for women in Philadelphia . It was part of the 2005 WTA Tour as a Tier II category tournament . The tournament took place from October 28th to November 6th, 2005.

In the singles Amélie Mauresmo won against Jelena Dementjewa with 7: 5, 2: 6 and 7: 5. In doubles, the pairing Cara Black / Rennae Stubbs won 6: 4 and 7: 6 4 against Lisa Raymond / Samantha Stosur .

Qualification for the Advanta Championships 2005 took place from October 28th to 30th, 2005. Four qualifying places for the singles and one qualification place for the doubles were played, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament.
