The PTT Thailand Open 2005 was a WTA hard court tennis tournament for women in Bangkok . It was part of the 2005 WTA Tour as a Tier III category tournament . The tournament took place from October 8th to 16th, 2005.

In the singles Nicole Vaidišová won against Nadja Petrowa 6: 1, 6: 7, 5 and 7: 5. In doubles, the pairing Shinobu Asagoe / Gisela Dulko won 6: 1 and 7: 5 against Conchita Martínez / Virginia Ruano Pascual .

qualification

The qualification for the PTT Thailand Open 2005 took place from October 8th to 10th, 2005. Four qualifying places for the singles and one qualification place for the doubles were played, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament.
