In the individual, Marija Sharapova won against Jelena Janković 6: 2, 4: 6 and 6: 1. In doubles, the pairing Daniela Hantuchová / Ai Sugiyama won 6: 2 and 6: 3 against Eleni Daniilidou / Jennifer Russell .

The qualification for the DFS Classic 2005 took place from June 4th to 6th, 2005. Eight qualifying places for singles and one qualifying place for doubles were played, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament.
