In the singles, Kim Clijsters won against Daniela Hantuchová 6: 4 and 6: 1. In doubles, the pairing Jelena Dementjewa / Flavia Pennetta won 6: 2 and 6: 4 against Angela Haynes / Bethanie Mattek .
