Silvija Talaja (born January 14, 1978 in Imotski , Yugoslavia ) is a former Croatian tennis player .

Career

Talaja, who according to the ITF preferred the clay court, started playing tennis at the age of seven. In her career she won two singles and one double title on the WTA Tour . In May 2000 she reached her best position in the world rankings with position 18 .

She competed for Croatia at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney . Between 1993 and 2003 she played 24 games for the Croatian Fed Cup team with a balanced record .
