The Qatar Total German Open 2005 was a ladies clay court tournament in Berlin . The Tier I tournament was part of the WTA Tour 2005 and took place from April 30th to May 8th.

Justine Henin-Hardenne won the singles final against Nadja Petrowa 6: 3, 4: 6 and 6: 3. In the double final, Jelena Lichowzewa and Wera Swonarjowa defeated the pairing Cara Black / Liezel Huber 4: 6, 6: 4 and 6: 3.

The qualification for the Qatar Total German Open 2005 took place from April 30th to May 1st, 2005. Eight places were played out for singles and one place for doubles, which entitle them to participate in the main field.
