Gabriela Chmelinová ; until 2008 Gabriela Navrátilová (born June 2, 1976 ), is a former Czech tennis player .

Career

Until 2003, Chmelinová played mainly ITF tournaments in Europe. From 2004 she specialized in doubles and also competed on the WTA Tour .

In 2005 she celebrated her greatest success at a Grand Slam tournament when she and Michaela Paštiková made it to the semifinals of the Australian Open . A title win on the WTA Tour was denied despite six finals.

She won a total of 55 double titles at the ITF Women's Circuit . Between 2004 and 2007 Chmelinová finished every season in the top 100 of the double world rankings of the WTA , her best placement she reached in July 2005 with rank 32. At the end of 2008 she ended her professional career.

In November 2014 she made a comeback at an ITF tournament in Poland; she reached the final there at the side of Karolína Muchová straight away. But it stayed with this one appearance.
