The Nature Valley Classic 2019 was a women's tennis tournament in Birmingham . The Premier category grass court tournament was part of the WTA Tour 2019 and took place from June 17 to 23, 2019.

The defending champions were Petra Kvitová in singles and the pairing Tímea Babos / Kristina Mladenovic in doubles. Kvitová and Babos each failed to defend their title, Mladenovic was eliminated in the double tournament alongside Yevgenia Rodina in the first round.

Ashleigh Barty defeated Julia Görges , with whom she reached the semi-finals in doubles as a playing partner, in the final 6: 4 and 7: 5. With the tournament victory and the fact that Naomi Osaka was eliminated in the round of 16, Barty took the lead in the world rankings for the first time in her career .
