Eden Silva (born March 14, 1996 in London ) is a British tennis player .

Career

Silva started playing tennis at the age of five; according to the ITF profile , she prefers hard courts. She mainly plays on the ITF Women's World Tennis Tour , on which she has won one singles and seven doubles titles so far. Her first ITF tournament she played in July 2011 in Wrexham , where she reached the second round of qualification.

On the WTA Tour , she played her first tournament in 2013 in Birmingham , where she started with a wildcard in qualification and lost to Canadian Sharon Fichman 0: 6 and 2: 6 in the first round .

In May 2014 she reached a final of the ITF Women's Circuit in Sharm el-Sheikh for the first time, in which she was defeated by Katie Boulter in just three sets. But she celebrated her greatest successes in doubles with three victories at ITF tournaments, all of which she celebrated in 2014.

Between March 2015 and March 2016, Silva did not play a tournament. For the individual competition of the AEGON Open Nottingham 2016 she then received a wildcard for qualification .

In November 2017, she scored her first victory in an ITF tournament in Helsinki .
