Ioana Ducu (born April 16, 1996 in Bucharest ) is a former Romanian tennis player .

Career

Ducu, who loved to play on clay courts, began playing tennis at the age of nine.

In 2014 she triumphed in the final of the jury pair of the French Open , together with Ioana Loredana Roşca . They won the final against Catherine Bellis / Markéta Vondroušová 6: 1, 5: 7 and [11: 9].

She won a double title of the ITF Women's Circuit during her career .

At the 2014 Summer Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing , she participated in singles , doubles and mixed . In mixed she reached fourth place.

In 2017 it was announced that she had retired from tennis to become a doctor.
