The Nuremberg Insurance Cup 2019 was a women's tennis tournament in Nuremberg . The clay court tournament in the International category was part of the WTA Tour 2019 and took place from May 19 to 25, 2019 on the grounds of the 1. FC Nürnberg tennis club .

The Nuremberg has announced to end its commitment as main sponsor of the tournament of 2019.

The defending champions were Johanna Larsson in singles and the pairing Demi Schuurs / Katarina Srebotnik in doubles.

Innovations 2019

Further conversion and renovation work has been carried out on the grounds of the 1. FC Nürnberg tennis club. The show court, as the second largest square in the facility, has been given a new permanent grandstand. In addition, renovation work was carried out in the club building.
