Katharina Hobgarski (born June 18, 1997 in Neunkirchen ) is a German tennis player .

Career

Hobgarski mainly plays at ITF Women's Circuit tournaments , where she has won ten singles and seven doubles titles so far. In 2014 she also posted her first results on the WTA Tour when she reached the final round of qualification in the qualification of the Luxembourg Open with wins over Sharon Pesch and Richèl Hogenkamp . In qualifying for the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix , she reached the second round in 2015 with a win over Patricia Mayr-Achleitner .

2016 Hobgarski received a wild card for the qualifying of the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in 2016 . She lost there in her first round match to the Italian Camila Giorgi with 3: 6 and 4: 6. At the Wiesbaden Tennis Open she reached the round of 16 with a victory over Valerija Strachowa , but lost to Anna Zaja 3: 6 and 2: 6. At the Nürnberger Versicherungscup she received a wildcard for the first time in the main field in an international tournament of the WTA Tour. But there she was already defeated in the first round by the later quarter-finalist Varvara Lepchenko with 0: 6 and 3: 6. At the subsequent Braunschweig Women's Open she was also defeated by Tamara Korpatsch in the opening match. She celebrated her first individual tournament victory at the ITF Future Nord in Kaltenkirchen , where she also won the double title with her partner Julia Wachaczyk . At the international Württemberg women's tennis championships for the Stuttgart City Cup , she failed in her opening match as well as at the subsequent Reinert Open .

Along with Anna-Lena Friedsam , Katharina Gerlach , Antonia Lottner , Lena Rüffer and Carina Witthöft, she is one of the players in the Porsche Talent Team Germany.
