Emily Arbuthnott (born October 3, 1997 in Kingston upon Thames , Surrey , England ) is a British tennis player .

Career

Arbuthnott mainly plays in tournaments of the ITF Women's Circuit , where she has won two singles titles and 13 doubles titles with changing partners.

In 2014 Arbuthnott received a wildcard for the junior singles of the Wimbledon Championships , where she lost to Xu Shilin in the first round .

In the 2015 Australian Open reached Arbuthnott with her partner Emilie Francati the semi-finals in the junior double , in the US Open in 2015 reached the two in juniors double the quarter-finals.

At the AEGON Eastbourne Trophy 2016 she reached the round of 16 in doubles with her partner Sarah Beth Gray . At the AEGON Surbiton Trophy 2016 , which took place one week later , she qualified as a qualifier in the main field in the women's singles, where she then lost to Eliza Kostowa 4-6 and 1-6 in the first round . In doubles, she reached the semi-finals with her partner Emily Appleton .

At the Summer Universiade 2017 , Arbuthnott was eliminated in the women's singles in the quarter-finals and finished fifth, in doubles she won the bronze medal with her partner Olivia Nicholls .

College tennis

She plays for the Stanford University tennis team . At the 2017 ITA National Fall Championships , Arbuthnott and her partner Michaela Gordon won the women's doubles title in the 2017/18 college tennis season .
