Gabriella Da Silva Fick (born August 23, 2000 in Collaroy ) is an Australian tennis player .
Career
Da Silva Fick started playing tennis at the age of eight. She mainly plays tournaments on the ITF Women's World Tennis Tour , where she has not yet won a title.
In October 2016, she and her partner Jaimee Fourlis reached the main field in doubles at the Bendigo Tennis International, endowed with 50,000 US dollars . A week later, she and her partner Seone Mendez also reached the main draw in the Canberra Tennis International doubles qualification . In December she won the Australian U16 Championship.
In 2017 she played her first grand slam in the junior division at the Australian Open , where she competed in both singles and doubles. In singles, she reached the second round with a victory over Catherine McNally , while in doubles she was eliminated in the first round.
In 2018 she competed again in the junior competitions of the Australian Open . In singles she reached the second round with a win over Nika Radišić , in doubles she reached the quarterfinals with her partner Ivana Popovic . In December 2018 she won the Australian championship in the U18 competition.
In 2019, Da Silva Fick started with a wildcard in qualifying for the Hobart International, a tournament of the WTA Tour endowed with 250,000 US dollars . But she was already defeated in the first round by Anna Blinkowa 4: 6 and 2: 6. At the Australian Open , she received a wildcard for qualifying for the women's singles , but also lost in the first qualifying round against Lyudmila Samsonova 4: 6, 6: 4 and 4: 6.
