Kurt Fassbender

Kurt Fassbender (born June 5, 1968 in Mayen ) is a German legal scholar.

Life

He studied law at the University of Trier . After the first state examination in 1993, he was a research assistant at the Institute for Environmental and Technology Law at the University of Trier and then at the Institute for Public Law at the University of Bonn . After passing the second state examination in law, he worked as a lawyer . After receiving his doctorate in 1999 as Dr. iur. he was a research assistant at the Institute for Public Law at the University of Bonn . After completing his habilitation in 2006 at the Faculty of Law and Political Science at the University of Bonn ( Venia legendi for the subjects of public law, European law and international law), he represented the chair for public law and European law, economic administration and economic constitution law at the University of Cologne in the summer semester of 2008 , from 2008 to 2009 the chair for public law, in particular constitutional and administrative law at the University of Leipzig . Since 2009 he has been professor for public law, in particular environmental and planning law, in Leipzig .
