Vicente Fernandes e Brito

Vicente Fernandes e Brito (born April 8, 1968 in Dili , Portuguese Timor ) is an East Timorese lawyer.

Career

Fernandes e Brito graduated from Merdeka University Law School in Malang, Indonesia in 1995 .

On July 20, 2000, while still under the United Nations Interim Administration for East Timor (UNTAET), he was appointed public prosecutor. In 2003, he was appointed Dili District Attorney. From 2004 to 2007 Fernandes e Brito completed the judges and defense lawyers course. He then served as the Suai District Attorney for two years . On July 8, 2009, Fernandes e Brito was appointed Assistant Attorney General. He held the office until July 31, 2009.

Fernandes e Brito was also a member of the Pedagogical Council of the Legal Training Center (Centro de Formação Jurídica CFJ) and from 2007 to 2013 Commissioner of the National Electoral Commission (Comissão Nacional de Eleições CNE).
