Nils-Jonathan Körber (born November 13, 1996 in Berlin ) is a German soccer goalkeeper . He is under contract with Hertha BSC and has played five times for the DFB's junior teams .

Club career

In his youth, Körber played at Tennis Borussia Berlin until he moved to Hertha BSC in 2011 . On May 30, 2015, Körber and the Hertha BSC U19 team won the DFB Junior Club Cup in the Olympic Park Amateur Stadium in Berlin with a 1-0 win over Energie Cottbus . For the 2017/18 season he moved on loan to the 3rd division at Preußen Münster , where he played his first game in professional football on June 22, 2017. On June 12, 2018, he extended his contract with Hertha BSC to June 30, 2020.

At the same time, he was loaned to VfL Osnabrück for the third division season 2018/19 . There he went into the season as the new number 1 after preparation, in the first half of the season he conceded the fewest in the league with 14 goals. On the 34th matchday, Körber was able to make clear promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga with the later third division champions . In May 2019, Hertha announced that it would lend Körber another year to Lower Saxony. After four games played in the 2019/20 season , the regular goalkeeper fell out with a pelvic injury and was represented by Philipp Kühn . This displaced Körber from his regular place in the goal. After his return, he stood between the posts from the 19th to the 21st match day to represent the red-banned Kühn. After the secure relegation, Körber was allowed to play the last game of the season, which was also his farewell game in Osnabrück.

For the 2020/21 season , the keeper returned to Hertha. There he is the third goalkeeper next to the newcomer Alexander Schwolow and the longstanding regular goalkeeper Rune Jarstein and is also used in the second team.

National team

During the four-country tournament in Israel (December 14-20, 2013), Körber made his first appearance for the U18 juniors .

In the 2015/16 season he was in the squad of the DFB U19 Juniors , but without being used.

Between 2017 and 2019, Körber was part of the U21 squad , for which he was only able to play twice due to an injury.
