The Olympic Park Amateur stadium of Hertha BSC (officially stadium on the casting space ) was opened on July 29 of 2004. It is not far from the Berlin Olympic Stadium on Friedrich-Friesen-Allee, on the site of the former throwing area of the German Sports Forum on the Berlin Olympic site .
During the 2006 World Cup , the German national soccer team trained in the stadium. The final of the DFB Junior Club Cup has been taking place in the amateur stadium since 2010 . The game always takes place in the afternoon right before the DFB Cup final . The Berlin Rugby Club also uses the venue for its games.
Furnishing
The amateur stadium has space for 5400 spectators. In addition to the 4,300 standing places, there are 1,100 seats, 750 of which are covered. It has a sprinkler system and floodlights suitable for television broadcasts . The amateur stadium is the home ground of the second men's team from Hertha BSC and other youth teams (mainly U19 and U17 ) of the club. Hertha BSC II is moving to the Friedrich-Ludwig-Jahn-Sportpark in the Pankow district for games with greater audience interest . The facility includes a modern grandstand wing that houses a total of eight cabins and a small kiosk. This part of the ensemble makes it possible to have a total of four games take place on the Olympic site at the same time. The stadium has training lighting, a sprinkler system and has the same dimensions as the neighboring Olympic Stadium and the two training grounds for the Hertha professionals on Schenckendorff-Platz (105 m × 68 m).
