Daishawn Orpheo Marvin Redan (born February 2, 2001 in Amsterdam , Netherlands ) is a Dutch football player . The striker is under contract with Bundesliga club Hertha BSC .
Career
society
Redan, whose roots are in Suriname , moved from the youth academy at Ajax Amsterdam to England at the youth academy of Chelsea at the age of 16 . He was used for various youth teams and also took part in the UEFA Youth League . In 29 games for the U18 and U19 of Chelsea FC, Redan made 7 assists and 18 goals. In January 2018 he was promoted to the U23 and scored 14 goals in 34 competitive games.
For the 2019/20 season Redan moved to the Bundesliga for Hertha BSC . In the first half of the season he came to a Bundesliga assignment under head coach Ante Čović . In addition, he played 8 times in the second team in the fourth-class Regionalliga Nordost , where he scored 4 goals. For the A-youth (U19) Redan came to an assignment in the A-junior Bundesliga . In order to gain match practice at a higher level, he moved to his home country on loan to the first division club FC Groningen at the end of January 2020 until the end of the season . There he came to five missions because the Eredivisie was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic .
For the season 2020/21 returned Redan back to Hertha BSC.
National team
Redan completed a total of 17 games for the U15 and U16 national teams and 26 games for the Dutch U17 , in which he scored 21 goals. At the U17 European Championship in England in 2018 , he reached the final with his team and won against Italy on penalties . He is currently playing for the Dutch U19 national team.
