Tamara Korpatsch (born May 12, 1995 in Hamburg ) is a German tennis player .

Career

Korpatsch started playing tennis at the age of five. Since completing secondary school, she has concentrated on tennis. She mainly plays tournaments on the ITF Women's World Tennis Tour , on which she has won eight singles tournaments so far. The first match on the WTA Tour , she contested on July 9, 2016 the Ladies Championship Gstaad in the qualification . She won her first round match against Fiona Ferro 6: 4 and 6: 4.

With three victories in June and July 2016 at the tournaments in Lenzerheide , Darmstadt and Horb am Neckar , she made it into the top 200 in the individual world rankings for the first time at the beginning of August. Another tournament success followed on August 7th, with the final victory against Jasmine Paolini 6: 2 and 6: 3 in Bad Saulgau . By the rise in the world rankings, she qualified for the qualification at the US Open 2016 .

At the end of 2017, Korpatsch became German tennis champion when she defeated Katharina Hobgarski 5: 7, 6: 1 and 6: 0 in the final of the national championships .

In the German Bundesliga she played for Ratinger TC Grün-Weiß from 2014 to 2016 . She has been playing for Der Club an der Alster since 2017 .
