The Ratinger Tennis Club Grün-Weiß 1911 e. V. is a German tennis club from Ratingen . The club complex has a total of 13 seats, of which 11 are ash seats and 2 indoor courts with carpet. The association currently has 520 members, including 271 adults, 235 children, adolescents and trainees as well as 14 passive members (as of 2012).

history

The association was founded in 1911. Since March 2011, the RTC has also had its own hockey department (80 members as of 2012). The association has been organizing the “WSH Ratingen Open” , an ITF women's tournament , since 2011 ; the first winner was Scarlett Werner .

Teams

After being promoted in 2007, the RTC women's team played in the 2nd Bundesliga for four years . Under the name WSH Ratingen (named after the sponsor WSH Deutsche Vermögenstreuhand ), the team became champions in 2011 and was promoted to the 1st Bundesliga .

Andrea Petković , Angelique Kerber and Julia Görges, three of the best German tennis players at the time, featured in the squad for 2012 of the women's Bundesliga team named after a cosmetics company M2Beauté Ratingen .

The first men's team of the TC Grün-Weiß plays in the Regionalliga West. (Status 2014)
