The TC Blau-Weiß Dresden-Blasewitz e. V. (Tennis Club Blau-Weiß Dresden-Blasewitz) is a club in the Dresden district of Blasewitz . The facilities and the association's headquarters are located in the forest park there . With over 700 members, the TC Blau-Weiß Dresden-Blasewitz is the largest tennis club in the new federal states . It was created in 1990 through the voluntary merger of the previously existing tennis sections of the sports communities Aufbau Dresden-Mitte , Medical Academy Dresden and Aufbau Dresden-Nord .
Sports facilities
The first tennis court in the forest park was built in 1889, and since 2015 there have been 16 clay courts and two small fields as well as a mid-court. The Center Court has a capacity of approx. 600 seats and is equipped with floodlights.
The club also has a tennis hall with four places and a gym.
Teams
The women make three and the men four teams. The first women's team was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga in 2016 and has played in the 1st Bundesliga since 2019 .
The first men's team rose to the Regionalliga Südost (3rd division) in 2019. She had already played in the 2nd Bundesliga in 2007 and from 2014 to 2016 .
The club also has numerous youth and senior teams.
