The 1st women's tennis Bundesliga was held for the 21st time from May 5th to June 9th in 2019, with a total of seven teams at the start. Movers were the TC Bredeney from the 2. Bundesliga North and the TC Bad Vilbel from the 2. Bundesliga South. Since the reigning champions Eckert Tennis Team Regensburg had canceled their team from the 1st Bundesliga on September 30, 2018, the second-placed team in the 2nd Bundesliga was offered the free space. The TC Blau-Weiß Dresden-Blasewitz completed the 1st Bundesliga as the third promoted team.
