2. Tennis Bundesliga (women) 2012

The Tennis League of Women was held in 2012 for the 14th time. In the 2012 season only six teams played in the 1st Bundesliga.

The games were played from May 13th to June 10th, 2012.

Season overview

After team sponsor Vacono withdrew, TC Radolfzell decided not to defend its title and withdrew its Bundesliga team. Likewise, the fifth of the 2011 season, the TC Rot-Weiß Wahlstedt , did not participate in the 1st Bundesliga. In the 2012 season, only six teams played for the German team championship.

In 2012 there were two newcomers from the 2nd tennis Bundesliga, WSH Ratingen , which started in 2012 under the team name M2Beauté Ratingen named after the team sponsor and immediately finished second, and TC 1899 Blau-Weiss Berlin . The latter are relegated to the second Bundesliga after their one-year stint in the upper house.

The title went to TC WattExtra Bocholt in 2012 , the runner-up in the previous two years. The title holder was only determined after the doubles on the last match day in Bocholt , where the hosts were able to defeat the Ratingen team just 5: 4 in a final .
