Verena Schmid (born October 23, 1992 ) is a former German tennis player .
Career
She comes from Ellwangen and was born as the daughter of Dieter and Susanne Schmid. She graduated from high school in 2011 at Oho Hahn Gymnasium. On August 19, 2013 she was ranked 737 in the world rankings for women and 474 in the double world rankings. In 2011 , 2012 , 2013 , 2014 she played in the first Bundesliga for TEC Waldau Stuttgart and in 2015 she played for the same club in the second Bundesliga South .
At the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix 2013 she played for the first time in a tournament of the WTA Tour . The organizers gave her a wildcard for qualification .
