Katharina Lehnert (born February 18, 1994 in Braunschweig ) is a former German - Filipino tennis player . The daughter of a German father and a Filipino mother has both citizenships .

Career

Lehnert started playing tennis at the age of seven. She won the first individual title of her professional career in 2012 in Braunschweig. From 2013 she played for the Philippines, in 2015 she was appointed to the Philippine Fed Cup team . She won 13 of her 21 Fed Cup games and is currently number one in Filipino women's tennis.

For ETuF Essen she played in the German tennis Bundesliga in 2012 and 2013 . In 2014 , 2015 and 2016 she played in the 2nd Bundesliga for the Braunschweiger THC . Since 2017 she has played in the same class for Marienburger SC . In the summer of 2018, she announced the end of her career.
