Puszczykowo ( German 1940-1945 Oberberg or district Unterberg (Kr. Posen) ) is a town in the Powiat Poznański of the Greater Poland Voivodeship in Poland . Puszczykowo is on the Warta .

history

Since 1815 the region belonged to the Schrimm district in the south of the Prussian province of Posen . With a few exceptions, the Polish place names continued to apply after 1815, and several place names were Germanized at the beginning of the 20th century.

Puszczykowo 1893

In 1833 the villages of Puszczykowo, Puszczykowko and Ludwigsberg became part of the new Woyt district (later the police district) Moschin .

In 1872 the Puszczyokowo estate, which was not circular, belonged to the Schroda district as a branch of the Tarnowo estate and was the property of Alexis von Suchoczewski. At the end of the 19th century (before 1879) a colony of villas was built in the Warta plain along Posener Straße, which was mainly inhabited by Germans and was called Alt Puszczykowo New Puszczykowo in contrast to the one on the plateau there.

On December 11, 1894, the rural communities Ludwigsberg and Neu Puszczykowo were merged to form the new rural community Unterberg . The name Unterberg was taken over by the Prussian forester Unterberg. Puszczykowko (meaning something like : Klein-Puszczykowo ), originally just a homestead, was named Paschkau on November 19, 1911 . On January 10, 1920, the Moschin police district was formally ceded to Poland.

Puszczykowo subsequently became the seat of a rural community , to which Łęczyca ( Lentschen ) and Wiry also belonged. After the attack on Poland , the municipality was annexed by the German Reich on October 26, 1939, in violation of international law. For the time being, the German names from 1919 were valid again, e.g. B. Alt Puszczykowo , but the rural community was renamed Unterberg . She came to the Poznan County . On April 1, 1940, the district of Unterberg was formed from the municipality, Alt Puszczykowo became Oberberg , Wiry Immenreut and in 1943 Wirrenbach . In 1942 the communities Altenau and Staffelbach (1919 still German: Babki and Czapury ) were added. Another renaming from Altenau to Altenwinkel did not take place. In 1943 the name changes were stipulated by ordinance. They only lasted until early 1945 when the Red Army captured the area.

Until 1998 Puszczykowo belonged to the Poznan Voivodeship or to its predecessor, which was tailored differently. Until 1954 it was the seat of the rural community "Gmina Puszczykowo" (gmina wiejska zbiorowa) . Babki and Czapury now belong to the rural community of Mosina , Łęczyca and Wiry to Gmina Komorniki .

Puszczykowo has had city rights since 1962 , only 12 km from Poznan, and the place experienced a great boom in the post-war years.
