Suchy Las ( German Suchylas , 1906-1918, 1939-1945 Steimersdorf ) is a village and seat of the rural community of the same name in the Polish Voivodeship of Greater Poland . The community has an area of 116.55 km² and 13,000 inhabitants. The road 11 running through the municipality leads from Poznan to Koszalin (Köslin).

The municipality is located in the Wielkopolska Lake District . With the creation of the Biedrusko Landscape Protection Area in 1994, the most valuable areas were taken under protection.
