The Gmina Buk is an urban-and-rural municipality in the Poznański powiat of the Greater Poland Voivodeship in Poland . Its seat is the city of the same name with about 6000 inhabitants.
geography
The community is located in the west of the powiat. The voivodeship capital Poznan is about ten kilometers to the east.
history
The urban and rural parish has existed since 1975. From 1975 to 1998 it was part of the newly formed Poznan Voivodeship .
Partnerships
In 2000 the municipality entered into a partnership with the German municipality of Hambühren in Lower Saxony .
