The tennis club Blau-Weiss 1962 eV , as it is called according to the statutes, is listed in the imprint as Tennis-Klub Blau-Weiss Aachen 1962 eV and is briefly referred to as TK Blau-Weiss Aachen or TK BW Aachen . The association is based in the south of Aachen . In 1962 it was founded as the third tennis club in Aachen and has over 700 members, including 210 young people.

Sports facilities

In a park-like facility with an old stock of trees, there are eight ash pitches and a multi-functional artificial turf pitch (fun court).

An air dome with two fields is built in the colder season from the beginning of October to the end of March / beginning of April. A tennis hall in nearby Vaals in the Netherlands can currently also be used. The construction of our own permanent tennis hall with at least four places is in the project phase.

Teams

TK Blau-Weiss Aachen has 41 teams, including 19 youth teams, making it the largest club in the region.

The 1st women's team was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga in 2013 and made it to the 1st Bundesliga straight away this season . She spent 2016 in the 2nd Bundesliga and has been back in the 1st Bundesliga since 2017 .

The 1st men's team also moved up to the 2nd Bundesliga in 2013 and started in the 1st Bundesliga for the first time in 2016 . In 2018 she spent in the 2nd Bundesliga. Since 2019 she has been back in the 1st Bundesliga, because the TC Blau-Weiss Halle had to cancel its team from the game because the loss-making sponsor ended his financial commitment, and TK Blau-Weiss, as second in the northern group, had a better match ratio compared to the TSV 1860 Rosenheim had the southern group.
