The HTC Blau-Weiß Krefeld eV is a tennis club from the city of Krefeld . The club is based in the Krefeld city forest and plays in the tennis Bundesliga .

history

The club was founded on May 9, 1923, initially with a hockey department , which was handed over to VfL Prussia in 1855 Krefeld in 1930 . The tennis department has existed since 1924.

In 1971 the first men's team was promoted to the tennis Bundesliga for the first time and remained there until 1979. After a few promotions and relegations, the men have now been part of the tennis Bundesliga again since 2005. In 1991 the first women's team also played in the highest league, but after relegation it broke up for the time being.
