Palmanova is a seaside resort in the southwest of the Spanish Balearic island of Mallorca . Palmanova belongs to the municipality of Calvià and is located in the Bay of Palma, about 15 kilometers west of Palma , directly on the sea. In 2011 Palmanova had 7017 inhabitants. Like many places in the western bay of Palma, Palmanova is visited by numerous British tourists.
In the east, the place Portals Nous , a meeting point for many rich and prominent holidaymakers with predominantly upscale tourist offers, joins the row of seaside resorts along the coast next to Palmanova, in the west it is the place Magaluf , also a stronghold for British tourists.
In the area of Palmanova there are the two beaches Platja des Carregador and Platja Son Maties, which are connected by a long beach promenade.
