In the singles Amélie Mauresmo won against Jelena Lichowzewa with 6: 1 and 6: 0. In doubles, the pairing Shinobu Asagoe / Ai Sugiyama won 6-0 and 6-3 against Liezel Huber / Tamarine Tanasugarn .
