The Swisscom Challenge 2004 was a WTA indoor hard court tennis tournament for women in Zurich . It was part of the 2004 WTA Tour as a Tier I category tournament . The tournament took place from October 15 to 24, 2004. It was carried out in the Schluefweg Hall in Kloten .

In the singles Alicia Molik won against Marija Sharapova 4: 6, 6: 2 and 6: 3. In doubles, the pairing Cara Black / Rennae Stubbs won 6: 4 and 6: 4 against Virginia Ruano Pascual / Paola Suárez .

qualification

The qualification for the Swisscom Challenge 2004 took place from October 15 to 17, 2004. Four qualifying places for the singles and one qualification place for the doubles were played, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament.
