In the singles Anna Smaschnowa-Pistolesi won against Alicia Molik with 6: 2, 3: 6 and 6: 2. In doubles, the pairing Martina Navrátilová / Lisa Raymond won 6: 2 and 7: 5 against Cara Black / Rennae Stubbs .
