The İstanbul Cup 2009 was the 6th edition of the hard court tennis tournament in Istanbul . It was part of the WTA Tour 2009 as a tournament in the International category . It took place at the same time as the Bank of the West Classic at Stanford from July 25th to August 2nd, 2009.

The defending champion in singles was Agnieszka Radwańska and in doubles the pairing consisting of Jill Craybas and Wolha Hawarzowa .

In the singles Wera Duschewina won against Lucie Hradecká 6: 0, 6: 1 and in the doubles Lucie Hradecká / Renata Voráčová against Julia Görges / P Schnyder with 2: 6, 6: 3, [12:10].
