The 2009 Collector Swedish Open Women was the first edition of the women's tennis tournament in Båstad . The clay court tournament in the International category was part of the WTA Tour 2009 and took place parallel to the GDF SUEZ Grand Prix from July 6th to 11th, 2009.

María José Martínez Sánchez won the singles final against Caroline Wozniacki 7: 5 and 6: 4. In the double final, Gisela Dulko / Flavia Pennetta defeated the pairing Nuria Llagostera Vives / María José Martínez Sánchez 6: 2, 0: 6, [10: 5].
