The Banka Koper Slovenia Open 2009 was the fifth edition of the Banka Koper Slovenia Open for women. As a tournament in the international category , it was part of the WTA Tour 2009 . It took place at the same time as the Gastein Ladies held in Bad Gastein from July 20 to 26, 2009 in Portorož .

Defending champion in singles was Sara Errani and in doubles Anabel Medina Garrigues and Virginia Ruano Pascual . In the singles Dinara Safina won against Sara Errani with 6 5 : 7, 6: 1, 7: 5 and in the doubles Julia Görges / Vladimíra Uhlířová against Camille Pin / Klára Zakopalová with 6: 4, 6: 2.
