Defending champion in singles was Dinara Safina and in doubles the pairing consisting of Vania King and Nadja Petrowa .

In the singles Marija Sharapova won against Jelena Janković with 5: 2 (surrender) and in the doubles Alissa Kleibanowa / Francesca Schiavone against Daniela Hantuchová / Ai Sugiyama with 6: 4, 6: 2.
