The BGL Luxembourg Open 2009 was the 14th edition of the indoor hard court tennis tournament for women in Luxembourg . It was part of the WTA Tour 2009 as a tournament in the International category . It took place at the same time as the Kremlin Cup 2009 in Moscow , Russia from October 19-25, 2009.

The defending champion in singles was Jelena Dementjewa and in doubles the pairing consisting of Sorana Cîrstea and Marina Erakovic .

In the singles Timea Bacsinszky won against Sabine Lisicki 6: 2, 7: 5 and in the doubles Iveta Benešová / Barbora Záhlavová-Strýcová against Vladimíra Uhlířová / Renata Voráčová with 1: 6, 6: 0, [10: 7].
