The Hansol Korea Open 2009 was the 6th edition of the women's hard court tennis tournament in Seoul , South Korea . It was part of the WTA Tour 2009 as a tournament in the International category . It took place at the same time as the Tashkent Open 2009 in Tashkent , Uzbekistan from September 19-27, 2009.

The defending champion in singles was Marija Kirilenko and in doubles the pairing consisting of Chuang Chia-jung and Hsieh Su-wei .

In the singles Kimiko Date Krumm won 6: 3, 6: 3 against Anabel Medina Garrigues and in the doubles Chan Yung-jan / Abigail Spears against Carly Gullickson / Nicole Kriz 6: 3, 6: 4.
