Sophie Ferguson (born March 19, 1986 in Sydney ) is a former Australian tennis player .

Career

Ferguson, who preferred to play tennis on clay courts, won three singles titles in her professional career and six doubles titles with changing partners at ITF tournaments. On the WTA Tour she remained without a title win.

She played her last match in 2011 in the individual competition at Wimbledon , where she was eliminated in the second round against Marina Eraković .

For the Australian Fed Cup team she was used twice in 2005; a victory in singles is matched by a loss in doubles.
